# Support and settings

> Collect diagnostic data and change the settings of the Wandelbots NOVA extension. Learn how to create a diagnose package, where the extension settings live, and how to check the installed version.

## Create a diagnose package

A diagnose package bundles the Isaac Sim session log into one zip file next to your scene.

1. Open `Wandelbots NOVA` → `Support` → `Diagnose Package`.
2. Optional: In `NOVA instances`, switch on the instances whose diagnosis package to include.
3. Optional: In `Extract from stage`, switch on `Stage tree` and `Motion groups in Stage`.
4. Optional: Describe the problem in `Additional information`.
5. Click `Create Package`.\
→ The notification `Diagnose package created: <path>` appears.

Send the zip file to your Customer Success contact person or email <customersuccess@wandelbots.com>.

## Change extension settings

Open `Wandelbots NOVA` → `Preferences`.
The same page is available in `Edit` → `Preferences` → `Wandelbots NOVA`.

The page lists the settings of the extension, for example overlay colors and ghost teaching defaults.
It also lists the Isaac Sim settings the extension workflows depend on, for example `Use Fixed Time Stepping`.
The extension saves every change right away.

### Settings worth knowing

- `externalJointStream/physicsFeedback`: With `Sync with simulation`, the virtual controller gets the joint state that physics measures. Contacts and payloads then show up in Wandelbots NOVA. Turn it off to send the commanded joint positions back instead.
- `asset_browser/folders`: The folders the `Wandelbots NOVA Assets` browser shows.

The extension API listens on port `8011` by default.
To use another port, start Isaac Sim with `--/exts/omni.services.transport.server.http/port=<port>`.

## Check the extension version

Open `Wandelbots NOVA` → `Support` → `About`.

Compare the version with the [compatibility table](/nova/latest/compatibility) of your Wandelbots NOVA version.
